About Aziz

Aziz’s therapeutic style is rooted in the spontaneous here-and-now and guided by a deep respect for fun, play, and creativity. His work is informed by training in trauma, neuroscience, psychodynamic theory, depth psychology, narrative theory, mindfulness, somatic approaches, Rhythm2Recovery, and play-based practices.
His worldview has also been shaped by a diverse professional and academic background. Aziz studied cultural anthropology at UC Berkeley and pursued Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. He has facilitated music and mindfulness workshops, led therapeutic drumming groups, and worked in community mental health settings. In addition, his approach integrates personal psychospiritual experiences gathered across cultures.
